Event photography<\/a> can be gratifying if you know your tool and can perform well under pressure. You get most of the benefits of wedding photography without the pressures of capturing what two people may consider the most important photos in their lifetime.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

We recently captured photos as event photographers at a 40th birthday party in Lawrenceville, GA (Le Gomier Restaurant and Event Hall). The theme was royalty, with the vibrant colors of purple and gold setting the stage. The guests, dressed in their best all-white outfits, added to the regal ambiance. The lighting, sometimes casting a purple hue and at other times, a mix of purple and gold, presented a unique challenge and opportunity for us as photographers.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

In this case, we were prepared to capture the birthday woman entering and enjoying the festivities. This was not much to go with as she eventually changed into three different outfits, but she started with all white like the rest of her guests.
